Carers information

In the UK, particularly in Llanelli, there are a considerable number of individuals who have taken on the role of caregiver for a loved one, whether out of personal preference or necessity.

This responsibility can prove to be highly challenging, but it is important to recognise that assistance is available. If you are fulfilling the role of a carer, please inform us of your situation as we are committed to extending all possible aid to you.

Support for carers

As a carer, remember to take care of yourself as well as the person you are caring for. Ensure you take regular breaks and make time for yourself.

If you speak to your GP, they can provide you with really useful support, advice and information. For example, they can refer you to local support networks in your area or help you understand what you’re entitled to as a carer – such as a free flu jab.

It’s important to tell them about your caring responsibilities so that they can offer support.

There is a wealth of information on the NHS website about carers and caring. Below are some links into the site that we hope you will find useful.
